CICCIC supports the development of a new Ukrainian Cafe and Gallery in Taunton

The Creative Innovation Centre CIC (CICCIC) recently helped establish a Ukrainian Café/Gallery in Taunton to showcase the unique culture and cuisine of Ukraine in the local area. Maryna and Natalie are running the café/gallery and aim to create a central meeting place for the Ukrainian community to integrate with the locals of Taunton. They also hope to provide employment opportunities and support the Ukraine appeal through this venture.

Richard Holt, co-director of CICCIC, expressed his excitement at the opening event, saying that the new shop will promote and support Ukrainian culture in Taunton. It will also serve as a space for people to explore and experience Ukraine’s art and food.

The project was made possible thanks to the support of various sponsors, including Beans and Machines, Drain Fix SW, Paydough me, Somerset Supports Ukraine, Rockwell printers, H2 Catering Equipment, Estama, Charis, and numerous individual contributions from the local community.

Maryna and Natalia would like to express their gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this venture possible. They invite everyone to visit the café and gallery for a taste of Ukrainian culture, with some of Iryna Miro’s artwork on display.

I am very excited to say that some samples of my work will be on display in the exhibition and cafe.
